Azerbaijan, China discuss joint renewable energy projects

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and PowerChina Resources Ltd. Chairman  Zhong Haixiang have explored deeper cooperation in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy in a meeting. 

The meeting centered on the implementation of both onshore and offshore solar and wind energy projects, Shahbazov announced in a post on X, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the minister, the two sides also reviewed potential investment opportunities in other key areas, including hydroaccumulation systems and broader renewable energy initiatives.

PowerChina is one of China’s leading infrastructure and energy companies, with growing involvement in international green energy projects.
