Russia remains largest buyer of Azerbaijani non-oil exports
Russia retained its position as the leading importer of Azerbaijan’s non-oil products in the first eight months of 2025, according to the Export Review published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
From January to August, Azerbaijan exported non-oil goods worth $814.1 million to Russia, marking an 8.3% increase compared with the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports.
Türkiye ranked second, though its imports fell slightly by 0.03%, totaling $394.5 million. Switzerland followed in third place with $220.2 million, a sharp 39.6% rise.
Georgia and Ukraine completed the top five, purchasing $216.4 million and $131.8 million worth of Azerbaijani non-oil products, respectively. Exports to Georgia doubled compared with 2024, while shipments to Ukraine increased by 31.4%.
In August alone, exports to Russia dropped by 12.2% to $97.4 million. By contrast, Türkiye recorded a 33.7% increase with $54.8 million, Switzerland rose 15.1% to $33.6 million, Georgia surged 47.5% to $32.9 million, and Ukraine edged up 0.5% to $21.9 million.
