Azerbaijan, Georgia ink bilateral military cooperation plan
Azerbaijani Defence Minister Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov and his Georgian counterpart Juansher Burchuladze have signed a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2023.
The plan was signed as part of Hasanov’s official visit to Georgia on November 14, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
According to the Defence Ministry’s press service, an official welcoming ceremony was held at the Georgian Defence Ministry.
The sides exchanged detailed views on regional security, prospects of developing military cooperation, holding joint military exercises, and organizing working meetings.
Further expansion of cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational, and military-medical spheres, as well as other issues of mutual interest, were also discussed at the meeting.
Meanwhile, Hasanov discussed military cooperation with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili as part of his official visit to the country, APA reports.
The meeting addressed issues of bilateral military cooperation, as well as strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
