Azerbaijan, Italy discuss cultural heritage preservation, cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Italy have held talks focused on strengthening cultural cooperation, with particular emphasis on the preservation of cultural heritage and the expansion of joint projects in the cultural sector.
A meeting took place in Rome between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Karimli and Italy’s Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli. The two sides exchanged views on the current state and future development of bilateral cultural relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture.
Discussions covered a wide range of areas, including museum cooperation, the creative industries, cinematography, music, and the performing arts. Both sides also explored opportunities to expand institutional ties between cultural organisations in Azerbaijan and Italy.
Minister Karimli briefed the Italian side on Azerbaijan’s cultural policy priorities and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening cultural diplomacy and broadening international partnerships.
The officials also reviewed a draft action plan for future cooperation, including the organisation of reciprocal cultural days, exhibitions, and concert programmes, as well as professional exchange initiatives designed to deepen collaboration between cultural institutions in both countries.
