Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan forge stronger military ties at ADEX-2024 PHOTO

The 5th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX) is currently taking place at the Baku Expo Centre.

On September 24, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Defence, met with Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Kazakhstan's Minister of Defence, who is visiting to participate in the exhibition, Azerbaijani Defence Ministry's press service told Caliber.Az.

During the meeting, the two leaders highlighted that the bilateral military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is rooted in their friendly and brotherly relations. They noted that collaboration in defence contributes to the strengthening of both nations' armed forces.

The discussions at the Baku Expo Centre covered the current status and future prospects of military cooperation, along with various other issues of mutual interest.

As a result of the meeting, the Ministries of Defence of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan signed a plan for bilateral military cooperation for 2025, as well as a Memorandum between their respective national defence universities.
