Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan to hold reciprocal cultural days
Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are preparing to deepen cultural cooperation through a series of reciprocal cultural events scheduled for the coming years, Kyrgyz Minister of Culture Mirbek Mambetaliev has said.
Speaking to Report news agency, Mambetaliev announced that Kyrgyzstan will host the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2028, while Azerbaijan is set to host Kyrgyz cultural events in 2027.
“We are planning the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027, while the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kyrgyzstan are planned for 2028,” he said.
The minister noted that cultural cooperation between the two countries is based on previously signed bilateral agreements and ongoing coordination mechanisms.
He also recalled that a roadmap for cultural cooperation covering 2025–2027 was approved in 2025, adding: “We are consistently working on its implementation.”
