Azerbaijan preparing design estimates for tourism infrastructure in Tugh, Dashalti, Hadrut Greening works carried out in Sugovushan Recreation Park
Design and estimate documentation of tourist infrastructure to be created to meet the needs of tourists in Tugh, Dashalti and Hadrut are being prepared in Azerbaijan.
Deputy Chairperson of the State Tourism Agency Azada Huseynova made the remarks on October 16, APA reports.
She noted that similar works will be launched in other areas favourable for tourism.
Meanwhile, Huseynova also said 4 million manats ($2.35 million) have been tentatively allocated for Sugovushan Recreation Park.
According to her, this includes design works:
"Within the framework of these works, preparation of design and estimate documentation for the second stage is also underway."
Huseynova also said that about 5,000 trees and bushes have been planted in the recreation park opened by President Ilham Aliyev in the Sugovushan settlement of Tartar district on 15 October.
She noted that a park has been created around the Sugovushan reservoir built in the 1970s on the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev, pedestrian paths have been laid along the embankment, benches, pavilions, a playground for children, sports facilities have been installed.
A tourist information centre, a cafe, a floating overpass, a car park for vehicles serving tourists have been created in the 7.5-hectare park, the deputy chairperson said.
In addition, Huseynova said a new bridge will be built in Sugovushan at the second stage of the process of creating tourist infrastructure, as well as large-scale landscaping works will be carried out.
The foundation stone of Sugovushan Recreation Park was laid on 20 March 2022 in the presence of the Head of State and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
