Azerbaijan's defence minister visits military police unit ahead of Victory Day PHOTO/VIDEO
Ahead of Azerbaijan's Victory Day celebrations, the leadership of the Ministry of Defence visited a military police unit stationed at its permanent deployment point.
During the visit, Minister of Defence Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and other senior officials engaged with the servicemen, learning about their operational and combat readiness as well as their living conditions, Caliber.Az reports.
The leadership took the opportunity to congratulate the personnel on the upcoming November 8 – Victory Day, wishing them continued success in their service.
Colonel General Hasanov also signed the Book of Remembrance and observed a demonstration exercise carried out by the unit. In addition, he took time to listen to the soldiers’ concerns and well-being, ensuring their needs were addressed.
As part of the visit, several military personnel were awarded for their distinguished service. The Minister also provided instructions to further enhance combat readiness, improve logistical support, and upgrade the social and living conditions of the troops.
The visit concluded with the planting of memorial trees on the military unit grounds, marking a gesture of respect and remembrance.
