Azerbaijan expresses condolences over train collision in Spain
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic train collision in Córdoba, Spain, which resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of the tragic train collision in Córdoba, Spain, which claimed many lives and caused injuries,” the ministry said in a statement on X, Caliber.Az reports.
The ministry extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Spain, as well as a speedy recovery to the injured.

The accident, which occurred in Adamuz near Córdoba in southern Spain, is reported to be the country’s worst rail crash in more than a decade. At least 39 people have died, and dozens more have been injured, according to Spain’s Civil Guard.
The collision involved a Madrid-bound train whose carriages derailed and crossed onto the opposite track, colliding with an oncoming train. Approximately 400 passengers and staff were onboard both trains. Emergency services report that at least 73 people were hospitalised, with 24 in serious condition, including four children.
