Azerbaijan’s MFA: 565 earthquake survivors evacuated from Türkiye so far
The efforts to identify and help the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who suffered from the earthquake in Türkiye continue.
So far, 565 citizens of Azerbaijan and their closest relatives have been evacuated from the disaster zone, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Caliber.Az.
At the moment the evacuation process continues. The relevant government agencies have been instructed to provide necessary medical, humanitarian, and psychological assistance to our citizens and their relatives, as well as to accommodate these persons in temporary shelter centres, if necessary.
"At present, there is no information about the two Azerbaijani citizens, their search continues. As a result of search and rescue measures, 10 citizens of Azerbaijan have been found dead. One of them was buried in Türkiye and the bodies of 9 people were sent to Azerbaijan," the Foreign Ministry said.
