Azerbaijan starts preparations for return to Khankendi PHOTO

Preparatory work is underway for the return to Khankendi.

Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Rovshan Rzayev said this at a meeting with internally displaced persons from Khojaly and Khankendi temporarily residing in the Goranboy region, Report informs.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Khojaly Executive Power, Shahmar Usubov, representatives of displaced communities, intellectuals, and public activists.

It was noted that large-scale projects are being implemented in the territories liberated from occupation, destroyed cities and villages are being restored, the necessary infrastructure is being built to ensure comfortable living for the population, and all measures are being taken to ensure the voluntary, safe and dignified return of internally displaced persons to their homeland.

The Chairman of the State Committee spoke about the preparatory work for the effective organization of the Great Return to Khojaly and Khankendi, as well as to other territories liberated from occupation, about the instructions of the head of state, listened to the opinions of the meeting participants, and answered their questions.
