Azerbaijan to screen documentary about historic Turkic leaders in Lachin soon
A new screening of the documentary film "Atabegs of Azerbaijan" will take place at the Lacinema cinema center in Azerbaijan’s Lachin city on February 7.
The film reflects the 12th-13th centuries, which are considered a period of revival for Azerbaijan’s national statehood and culture, the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service of the Lachin district said, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The film, created through the joint efforts of Azerbaijani Television, the production companies Shahdag Film, and Türkiye's İkinciYeniFilm, with the Ministry of Culture and the Azerbaijan Cinema Agency as official partners, tells the story of two great historical figures of the Turkic world during the Middle Ages.
These are the brave military leaders Gara Sungur and the founder of the Atabeg state, Shamsaddin Eldeniz.
The movie transports the audience to the grandeur of the 12th century, shedding light on Azerbaijan's rich and glorious history and promoting the national and spiritual heritage of that era.
