Azerbaijan, Total Energies discuss expanding energy cooperation

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Total Energies for Exploration and Production President Nicholas Terraz.

The meeting noted that SOCAR and Total Energies have been successfully cooperating for many years. The parties discussed the start of production at the Absheron gas field in the coming months, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani presidential press service.

Terraz stressed Total Energies' commitment and interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan and announced his intention to expand the company's activities in our country.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on potential projects in the field of renewable energy production, in addition to the traditional oil and gas sector cooperation.
