Azerbaijan, US enhance cooperation on terrorism, energy & regional stability

Azerbaijan is fruitfully cooperating with the United States in the fight against terrorism and global threats, and strong cooperation in the energy sector has been established.

Finance Minister Samir Sharifov highlighted these points at an event dedicated to the 248th anniversary of US independence, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

"Azerbaijan thanks the US for its assistance in the successful organization of the COP29 climate conference to be held in Baku in November," the minister said.

Sharifov noted that Azerbaijan highly appreciates the US initiatives aimed at establishing peace in the South Caucasus.

Azerbaijan also hopes for US support in the reconstruction of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, as well as in the reintegration and resumption of regional communications, Sharifov added.
