Azerbaijan, Spain explore trade, energy, and education partnerships
On August 20, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares Bueno, to review the state of bilateral ties and discuss future cooperation.
During the call, the Spanish minister congratulated Baku on the progress achieved in normalising relations with Armenia, highlighting developments made during the recent visit of the President of Azerbaijan to the United States, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Both sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Spain, as well as broader cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening partnerships in the fields of trade, economy, energy, tourism, humanitarian affairs and education.
The visit of the Spanish Prime Minister to Azerbaijan on the occasion of COP29 was also noted with satisfaction.
Minister Bayramov and Minister Albares Bueno additionally discussed preparations for the next round of political consultations, scheduled to take place soon in Baku. The conversation also included an exchange of views on regional issues of shared interest.
