Baku Court hears testimony in trial over Armenia’s military aggression
At a hearing in the Baku Military Court, Chingiz Almammadov, the legal heir of victims of Armenia’s military actions, provided testimony regarding the impact of the conflict on his family.
Almammadov stated that he was forcibly displaced from the Lachin district and had served in the defence of Lachin as a police officer, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He recounted that during the occupation of Lachin, his father, Idris Almammadov; his brother, Ehtiram Almammadov; his brother’s wife, Mahira Almammadova; and their infant child were killed by artillery fire from the Goris district of Armenia. The victims were subsequently buried in Agjabadi district
The trial involves citizens of the Republic of Armenia accused of serious violations of international law, including crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, genocide, terrorism, and forcibly seizing and maintaining power. The proceedings are ongoing.
