Azerbaijan’s envoy to Japan pays tribute to Nagasaki bombing victims

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Japan Farid Talibov met with Nagasaki Prefecture Governor Ken Hirata on August 9, the anniversary of the US atomic bombing of Nagasaki, the Azerbaijani diplomat said on his X account.

“On the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombing of Japan, we honored the memory of those who died at the memorial ceremony for the victims of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. I sincerely wish health to the people who continue to suffer from the consequences of this tragedy,” the ambassador wrote.

The US atomic bombing of Nagasaki came three days after the bombing of Hiroshima, both in 1945.
