Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan have many joint projects, official says
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have many joint projects, including television productions, TV and films, Jakhangir Abdurakhmanov, Deputy Director of the Centre for Media Content Production of Uzbekistan, has said.
Speaking to journalists, he noted that the two countries are currently producing a film titled Journey to Tashkent, with some scenes set to be filmed in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
According to him, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan also cooperate closely in the media sector and exchange experience. In particular, agreements have been reached on cooperation with the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan.
He made clear that the ongoing press tour of Azerbaijani journalists in Uzbekistan is another example of cooperation.
“We want to show Azerbaijani society what Uzbekistan has achieved over the past 10 years,” Abdurakhmanov added.
In his words, regular reciprocal visits by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan contribute to the further development of close relations between the two countries.
“We have always wanted our colleagues from Azerbaijan to visit Uzbekistan not only as part of political events, but also to deliberately familiarise themselves with the changes that have taken place in the country, its plans, new facilities, sectors and locations,” he stressed.
Abdurakhmanov expressed hope that the press tour would enable Azerbaijani journalists to tell their audiences about modern Uzbekistan and the transformations that have taken place in the country over the past decade.
