Azerbaijani, Armenian foreign ministers to meet soon
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that another meeting with his Armenian counterpart is scheduled for the upcoming weeks.
He made the remarks at a meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Turkmen foreign ministers in the city of Avaza, Turkmenistan, Report informs.
The minister noted that the elimination of the grave consequences of the 30-year occupation after the end of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the safe and dignified return of the Azerbaijani citizens expelled from their lands is the most important priority for the nation.
Bayramov stressed that the contamination of territories with mines and other explosives is the most serious obstacle to restoration and construction work.
“Azerbaijan is determined to build bilateral relations with Armenia on the basis of mutual recognition and respect for each other's sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders, to replace the conflict with mutually beneficial cooperation and normal neighborhood relations. To this end, it is planned to hold a regular meeting for discussion between the foreign ministers of the two countries in the coming weeks,” Bayramov said.
