Azerbaijan's State Border Service (SBS) has foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics across the Iranian border.
The Goytepe border detachment of Azerbaijan's State Border Service has successfully intercepted an attempted drug smuggling operation from Iran into Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the border service press service.
Operatives seized a total of 11.35 kilogrammes of marijuana during border search and operational activities.
The smuggling attempt was foiled as part of ongoing efforts to combat illicit activities along Azerbaijan's borders. The State Border Service continues to conduct operative and investigative measures to further address the incident.
