Azerbaijani FM briefs Turkish counterpart on Baku-Yerevan peace talks
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan have met on the margins of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) to discuss various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as Baku-Yerevan peace talks.
The FMs focused on political, defence, economic, transport, and communication issues, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The ministers emphasized the importance of continuing their joint efforts and mutual support within regional and international organizations. They specifically highlighted the significance of cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other international platforms.
In addition to bilateral relations, Bayramov and Fidan exchanged views on key regional and international issues, particularly the current situations in the Middle East, focusing on the Gaza Strip and Syria.
Minister Bayramov also provided a comprehensive update to his Turkish counterpart on the latest developments in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, discussing the ongoing regional dynamics and the progress made in the negotiations.
The meeting concluded with the discussion of other issues of mutual interest, further reinforcing the strong and ongoing collaboration between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
