Azerbaijani Military Institute focuses on enhancing legal training for servicemen
In line with the 2024 action plan approved by the Minister of Defence, the Institute of Military Administration recently hosted a series of training and methodological meetings at its War Games Center.
These sessions brought together legal professionals from various military branches, main departments, and formations, including heads of investigation services, investigators, and officers from the Azerbaijani army’s Legal Department.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Defence to Caliber.Az, Colonel of Justice Elchin Aliyev, head of the Ministry's Legal Department, outlined the organization of legal training for servicemen. He also discussed the development of draft legal documents and other measures undertaken throughout the year. The training emphasized the importance of reinforcing military discipline, preventing offences, and educating personnel on international humanitarian law and its application in armed conflicts.
The training camps focused on improving the organization of legal education within military units and enhancing servicemen's understanding of legal principles. The goal was to refine knowledge and skills related to legal training and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
