Azerbaijani, Moldovan film agencies establish partnership during Berlin film festival PHOTOS
Azerbaijan's Film Agency (ARKA) has signed a memorandum for future cooperation with Moldovan Center for Cinematography on the sidelines of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture has clarified that the memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of audiovisual, develop cinematic culture, expand audiences, and promote joint film production between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports citing AZERTAG.
The document was signed by ARKA Acting Director General Orkhan Fikratoghlu and the Executive Director of the National Center of Cinematography of Moldova Valentina Iusuphodjaev.
The agreement also includes provisions for further contracts between the parties.
The Berlinale, as the festival is colloquially refered to, is one of the most important film festivals worldwide. It attracts the largest audience of any film festival in the world with approx. 300,000 getting sold to the public. The German capital will host the festival from February 13-23 and feature up to 400 films. The Azerbaijan Cinema Agency has set up its pavilion at the festival in order to promote national cinematography at the international level and demonstrate Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage.
