Azerbaijani photographer Deghati leads master class at defence ministry
A prominent master class on photography was conducted by renowned Azerbaijani photographer Reza Deghati at the Press and Public Affairs Department of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The event was part of an initiative to enhance the skills of personnel involved in communications within the ministry, Caliber.Az reports.
During the meeting, Deghati was briefed on the Ministry's publishing, multimedia, and editorial operations. His significant contributions in showcasing Azerbaijani realities to the global audience were acknowledged, particularly his work highlighting Armenian vandalism and terrorism during the First Karabakh War and the Patriotic War. His efforts in promoting Azerbaijan’s nature, traditions, and culture were also marked.
The master class offered an in-depth exploration of the evolution and history of photography, various genres, and modern photographic equipment. Deghati emphasized the critical aspects of documentary photography, including authenticity, completeness, and realism. Participants were introduced to the intricacies of capturing compelling images and preserving historical narratives through photography.
A film detailing Deghati's life and creative journey was screened for the attendees, providing further insight into his impactful work. Following the film, Deghati engaged with the audience, sharing his memories and answering their questions.
The event concluded with a photo exhibition showcasing the Azerbaijani Army's activities, particularly highlighting the period of the Patriotic War. The exhibition offered a visual representation of the military’s role and the significant moments of the conflict.
