Azerbaijani PM, Turkish VP discuss air security for flights to Nakhchivan
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov held a phone conversation with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, where they strongly condemned the March 5 drone attacks by Iran on Azerbaijan and discussed measures to secure flights to Nakhchivan.
Highlighting the violations of international law and norms, Asadov reported that the attacks damaged the terminal of Nakhchivan International Airport and caused injuries to several civilians, Caliber.Az reports per the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He expressed gratitude to fraternal Türkiye for its prompt assistance in organising flights through Iğdır Airport to ensure aviation safety toward Nakhchivan.
The conversation also covered other pressing issues arising from the current situation.
