Azerbaijani wrestlers win international tournament in Hungary
In Hungary's capital Budapest, the fourth and last international rating tournament in wrestling has wrapped up.
As azerisport.com reports, Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers competed on the last day of the tournament. Azerbaijan was represented by Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg), Sanan Suleymanov (77 kg), Rafig Huseynov, Islam Abbasov (both - 87 kg), Murat Lokyaev, Arif Niftullayev (both 97 kg), Beka Kandelaki, and Sabah Shariati (both 130 kg).
Jafarov and Suleymanov became champions, while Ganizade did not reach the final due to injury, and Kandelaki lost in the final. Abbasov lost in the fight for bronze.
Thus, our wrestlers won 7 medals, including 3 gold, 3 silver, and one bronze in the tournament.
Earlier, freestyle wrestler Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) won silver, Greco-Roman wrestler Murad Mammadov (63 kg) became the champion, and Nihat Mammadli (60 kg) won bronze.
