Baku hosts presentation of first historical documentary film created with AI PHOTO

Baku has hosted the presentation of the first historical documentary film produced with the help of artificial intelligence.

The film, titled “Sultan Hasan Bahadur”, was unveiled at the Nizami Cinema Centre and was produced by Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The presentation was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture, members of the Milli Majlis, cultural figures, public representatives and media.

Deputy Culture Minister Saadat Yusifova said the project was significant in terms of preserving national identity and noted that artificial intelligence technologies would play an increasingly important role in the film industry.

Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC chairman Rovshan Mammadov said the filmmakers had based the documentary on historical sources and paid particular attention to accuracy.

“Sultan Hasan Bahadur” is the first instalment of AzTV’s “We Are Proud of Our History” documentary series, produced in cooperation with Turkey’s Patik Production. The film was directed by Mecit Güven, with the screenplay written by Sarvar Bayramov, Mahir Garibov and Sevda Huseyn.

The documentary tells the story of Uzun Hasan (Sultan Hasan Bahadur), ruler of the Aq Qoyunlu state, and his mother Sara Khatun, who is regarded as one of the first female diplomats of the East.
