Baku to hold meeting of Russia-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission
The meeting of the Russia-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission will be held on April 26 in Baku, Denis Gonchar, director of the Fourth Department of the CIS countries of the Russian foreign ministry, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Preparation for the 20th anniversary meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which will be held in Baku on April 26, is in full swing," the diplomat said.
Gonchar said that the sides will consider the whole range of issues of bilateral economic cooperation.
"We have a lot of new interesting and promising projects," director of the department added.
The director of the department reminded that the Russian Ministry of Energy organized another visit of Russian businessmen to Azerbaijan to discuss fuel and energy issues on April 20-21.
“This is the third business mission to Azerbaijan – the first two visits were made in July and November 2021, and specific contractual agreements are being implemented proceeding from their results,” the diplomat stressed. “We attach great importance to the involvement of domestic economic operators in the restoration of the Karabakh territories, we consider this route an important tool in stimulating bilateral trade and economic cooperation.”
