Baku to host major global forum on intercultural dialogue in October
The 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue will take place in Baku on October 27–29, bringing together key international organizations and stakeholders focused on promoting intercultural understanding and cooperation.
The event will be organized in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, UNESCO, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and UN Tourism, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The forum is part of the broader “Baku Process” on intercultural dialogue, an initiative launched by President Ilham Aliyev in 2008. The platform itself was established in 2011, and this year marks its 15th anniversary.
Over the years, the “Baku Process” and its associated forum have been recognized by the United Nations as a leading global platform for advancing intercultural dialogue and fostering international cooperation.
