Belarus enhances border security amid tensions with Ukraine
Belarusian Border Guard Service and the Ministry of Defence have announced the intensification of border security measures following an incident involving an alleged Ukrainian drone.
Belarusian Border Committee's press service stated that Ukrainian drones frequently conduct reconnaissance flights along the border, Caliber.Az reports.
Belarus responded by using standard weapons and electronic warfare tactics to counter attempts to breach its airspace.
Recently, Belarusian border guards intercepted a quadcopter near Gomel Voblast that had crossed from Ukraine into Belarus. The UAV was forced to land 150 meters from the border, and analysis of its video files revealed reconnaissance activities targeting industrial facilities and border infrastructure in the area.
Additionally, Belarus reported the discovery of a cache containing materials for making improvised explosive devices in Homel Voblast.
