Belarus seeks closer cooperation with Serbia, deputy PM says PHOTO
Belarus is seeking to identify new areas for closer cooperation with Serbia, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich has stated.
Speaking at a meeting with Serbian government minister Nenad Popović, he said the two countries continue to develop political and trade-economic relations and intend not only to maintain the current level of cooperation, but also to explore new areas of partnership, Caliber.Az reports, citing Belarusian media.
He highlighted the importance of resuming the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, noting that regular meetings help achieve practical solutions on key issues.
Karankevich also referred to Belarus’s participation in the international EXPO 2027 exhibition, which will be held in Belgrade, adding that it would provide an opportunity to showcase the country’s economic, technological, and tourism potential.
He further expressed hope for the resumption of direct flights, which he said could help strengthen tourism and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
