Britain trying to prevent NATO from losing interest in Ukraine – Russian Spokeswoman
The UK, by concluding a security cooperation agreement with Ukraine, is trying to prevent the G7 and NATO from losing interest in what is happening in Ukraine.
Kommersant reports, quoting Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
“The British leadership is making every effort to prevent its G7 and NATO allies from losing interest in what is happening in Ukraine, which London continues to view as a geopolitical instrument aimed against Russia,” Maria Zakharova told a briefing.
The spokeswoman claims that the signed agreement indicates that Ukraine is not given a chance to get out of the conflict with Russia, making it “a bargaining chip in the adventures of the Anglo-Saxons”. In her opinion, the citizens of Ukraine “were once again deceived” by concluding the agreement.
