Chief of Azerbaijani Army’s General Staff meets with Georgian defence minister PHOTO
As part of an official visit to Georgia, First Deputy Defence Minister, Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev met with Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze on September 28.
Having conveyed greetings of the Azerbaijani defence minister to Georgian Defence Minister, Colonel General Valiyev noted that military relations between the two countries are at a high level, Caliber.Az reports referring to the Azerbaijani defence ministry.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the Azerbaijan-Georgia relations are built on friendship and mutual trust, and regular meetings of the heads of state contribute to the further strengthening of ties between the two countries.
These relations, which meet mutual interests, serve to ensure peace, stability, and security in the region.
The sides emphasised the significance of further expansion of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as exchanged the views on other issues of interest.
Following the meeting, the chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army visited Heroes Square in the centre of Tbilisi and laid a wreath at the monument to those, who sacrificed their lives for Georgia’s territorial integrity.
