Azerbaijani Ombudsman’s delegation assesses living, health standards at Air Force Unit

Representatives from the Ombudsman’s Office visited a military unit of the Azerbaijan Air Force to assess the living conditions, provisions, and health services provided to the personnel, including those receiving treatment at the medical facility.

As part of the 2025 joint action plan between the Ministry of Defense and the Office of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

The meeting also included discussions on the protection of servicemen’s rights, an assessment of human rights conditions, and other related matters, with questions from the servicemen being addressed. 

Earlier, on April 30, 2025, the leadership of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence attended a commemorative event at military unit “N” dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Special Forces of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. The event was marked by the participation of Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who personally met with the servicemen of the Special Forces.

In his address, Minister Hasanov highlighted the significant steps taken under the leadership and close attention of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva. He emphasised the measures aimed at improving the social and living conditions of military personnel, addressing their concerns, and providing them with comprehensive support, underlining that these efforts reflect the state’s enduring commitment to the welfare of its armed forces.
