Azerbaijan, Uzbek FMs address escalating Middle East security concerns
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov to discuss the security situation in the Middle East amid rising tensions.
During the talks, the sides also addressed cooperation issues stemming from the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Caliber.Az reports per the foreign ministry.
The ministers expressed deep concern over the growing instability in the region, emphasising that military escalation poses a serious threat not only to regional security but also to global stability.
They highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts to ensure stability in the Middle East.
Bayramov and Saidov also exchanged greetings on the occasions of Ramadan and Novruz, wishing for further strengthening of unity and cooperation between their countries.
