UN representation sends Eid al-Fitr greetings to Azerbaijan

The United Nations representation in Azerbaijan has extended its congratulations to the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

The message was published on the mission’s official page on X, as per Caliber.Az.

“Eid Mubarak! 🌙

The United Nations in Azerbaijan extends its warmest wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
May this holiday bring peace, tranquillity, and harmony to our world,” the post reads.

Caliber.Az reminds its readers that today is the holiday of Ramadan, which marks the end of the blessed month in which the Holy Quran was revealed.

In one of the ayats of the holy book, the Almighty praises the month of fasting and elevates it above other months, because He chose it for the Holy Quran.

In Azerbaijan, the holiday of Ramadan is celebrated with special festivity. This month, calling people to peace, calmness, patience, good deeds, spiritual and moral purity, further strengthens the feelings of friendship, brotherhood and solidarity in the society.

On the holiday days, believers pray for peace and the welfare of the homeland and people, as well as in memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom and the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. One of the significant deeds is helping the needy and the poor, which is obligatory for every well-off Muslim.
