Azerbaijan receives 2,949 evacuees from Iran amid regional crisis PHOTO
From 8:00 on February 28 to 10:00 on March 23, a total of 2,949 people were evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan.
According to Report, 488 of them are citizens of Azerbaijan.
Among the evacuees were also 722 Chinese citizens, 325 Russians, 198 Bangladeshis, 187 Tajiks, 168 Indians, 148 Pakistanis, 80 Omanis, 68 Indonesians, 54 Iranians, 44 Italians, 30 Algerians, 26 Spaniards, 23 Germans, 22 Canadians, 19 French, 18 each from Saudi Arabia and Japan, 17 Georgians, 15 Uzbeks, 13 each from Poland, Switzerland, and Nigeria, 12 each from Hungary and Bahrain, 11 each from Kazakhstan, Mexico, and the USA, 10 each from the UK, Belarus, Bulgaria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 8 each from Brazil and Sudan, 6 each from Slovakia, Belgium, Romania, and the UAE.
Additionally, 5 citizens each from Serbia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Greece, and Vietnam were evacuated; 4 each from Jordan, the Philippines, Türkiye, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Finland, and the Netherlands; 3 each from Qatar, Croatia, Denmark, and Norway; 2 each from Nepal, Lebanon, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, Slovenia, and Myanmar.
Finally, 1 citizen each from Tunisia, South Africa, the Maldives, Cuba, the Vatican, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Egypt, Belize, and the Dominican Republic was also evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan.
