Azerbaijan, NATO discuss expanding partnership, regional security
Azerbaijan Mission to NATO has held talks with a senior NATO official to discuss the future of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the alliance, as well as regional developments.
The Head of Mission, Jafar Huseynzade, met with the newly appointed NATO Secretary-General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Kevin Hamilton. Hamilton also serves as NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary-General for Partnerships, Caliber.Az reports per the mission on X.

The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of the Azerbaijan–NATO partnership, alongside broader issues of mutual interest.
The sides also highlighted Azerbaijan’s role in facilitating the safe evacuation of citizens and diplomatic personnel from Iran belonging to NATO member states and partner countries.
