Azerbaijani president extends Independence Day wishes to Bangladesh

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Mohammad Shahabuddin on the occasion of Independence Day, sending an official letter marking the event.

According to Caliber.Az, the letter was published on the official website of the Azerbaijani head of state.

In his message addressed to the President of Bangladesh, Aliyev extended congratulations on behalf of himself and the Azerbaijani people.

“On the occasion of the National Day of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Independence Day, I extend my most sincere congratulations to you and your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan,” the letter reads.

Aliyev underlined the positive trajectory of bilateral ties, noting the existence of strong and friendly relations between the two countries.

“There are good traditions of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh. I am confident that, in line with the interests of our peoples, we will continue to make joint efforts to develop our bilateral relations and expand our cooperation,” he stated.

Concluding his message, the Azerbaijani president conveyed his wishes for the leadership and people of Bangladesh.

“On this auspicious day, I wish you good health, happiness and success in your work, and the friendly people of Bangladesh peace and prosperity,” the letter reads.
