China, Thailand to hold joint aerial drills

Chinese Ministry of Defence has said that joint exercises of the air forces of China and Thailand will be held in August.

"According to the annual plan of cooperation between the militaries of China and Thailand, a joint exercise of the air forces of the two countries ‘Eagle Strike – 2024’ will be held at the Thai Air Force base in August," reads the report published by the Chinese defence ministry, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

The Ministry specified that China would send several types of aircraft and special forces to manoeuvres in Thailand.

As the report noted, the exercise is aimed at "improving the military-technical level of the armed forces of both sides and deepening practical exchanges and cooperation between the militaries of China and Thailand".
