Chinese air force chief praises Pakistan’s military response in conflict with India
China’s Air Force Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Wang Gang, praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for what he described as its “professional, precise, and disciplined” response during a recent conflict with India, as he led a senior military delegation to Islamabad on July 8 to discuss deepening bilateral defence cooperation.
During a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, the two sides explored ways to enhance collaboration between their air forces, particularly in joint training, airpower integration, and operational strategy, Caliber.Az reports via GeoNews.
In a statement released by Pakistan’s military, Wang commended the PAF’s high state of operational readiness and expressed strong interest in learning from its experience with modern air warfare, especially its use of multi-domain operations — the coordination of air, land, sea, space, and cyber capabilities.
The Chinese delegation received a detailed briefing on the PAF’s force structure, technological advancements, and evolving combat doctrine. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu welcomed the visitors and emphasised Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with China, rooted in decades of mutual trust and regional cooperation.
Sidhu also reaffirmed the strong bond of friendship between the two air forces and reiterated PAF’s commitment to expanding cooperation in training, technology and operational domains.
The meeting stands as a testament to the shared resolve of Pakistan and China to advance their time-tested strategic partnership through deepened cooperation and innovation-driven collaboration, the Inter-Services Public Relations statement said.
