Construction of Azerbaijani residential estate in Türkiye's Kahramanmaras at full blast VIDEO
The construction of an Azerbaijani residential estate in the Turkish city of Kahramanmaras is in full swing.
The foundation of several buildings was laid within the project, being implemented through Azerbaijan's funding to the tune of $100m, Oxu.Az reports.
The preparation is also underway for the construction of other buildings.
Special importance is attached to the seismic resistance of future buildings. High-quality building materials are used.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a law on November 22, 2023, approving the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye for the construction of residential buildings, a primary school, a kindergarten, and a cultural center in Kahramanmaras province of the Turkish Republic, which was signed in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan city on September 25, 2023.
Two earthquakes measuring 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in Kahramanmaras, southeastern Türkiye on February 6, 2023, which were felt in 11 provinces of the country, as well as in neighboring countries.
Turkish authorities said that the earthquake was the disaster of the century. Some 50,500 people died as a result of the earthquakes in Türkiye.
