Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to hold key talks in Russia next week
Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is scheduled to visit Russia on May 26–27 for a working trip, responding to an invitation from his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, according to sources from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
During the visit, Fidan is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and hold talks with Lavrov, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
In addition, the itinerary includes bilateral meetings with Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to President Putin, and Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov.
The discussions in Moscow are set to thoroughly review the state of bilateral relations, covering areas such as trade, energy, and tourism. Both sides will also evaluate potential measures to advance and strengthen their cooperation going forward.
