Crown Prince of Kuwait swears in new government
Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah swore in the new government formed by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on April 10.
"You are facing fundamental issues and numerous tasks to which we attach great importance. You must work as a team, cooperating and supporting each other so that the law is applied to everyone equally, to achieve the security of the homeland and citizens, and to eradicate corruption and nepotism," the crown prince said at the swearing-in ceremony, TASS reports, citing the KUNA news agency.
On April 9, his decree approved the composition of the emirate's 43rd government. It is the third cabinet composition formed by the prime minister in the past eight months. The ministers responsible for key portfolios in the government retained their positions, with the exception of the head of the Ministry of Finance, who is also Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment. The ministry was headed by Manaf Abdulaziz Al-Hajrey.
