Deputy FM: Armenia, Azerbaijan fail to resolve key aspects of peace agreement
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan has said that Armenia and Azerbaijan have not yet resolved all aspects of their peace agreement, but officials in Yerevan remain hopeful about bridging the gaps between the two sides.
Kostanyan made these remarks during a briefing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"We have recently received the 11th version of the Azerbaijani draft peace agreement, and we are currently reviewing it. There are still issues where the positions of the two sides diverge, but we see an opportunity to bring these positions closer together," he said.
Earlier, Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that only "one or two points" remain to be agreed upon for the signing of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan. He expressed hope that Yerevan and Baku will be able to reach a consensus on these issues.
