Envoy: Russia, Belarus to create new type of economy

Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov has said that the Union State of Russia and Belarus are shifting to the creation of a new economy.

He made the remarks in his New Year's address, TASS reports.

According to him, the past year saw an important paradigm shift in the development of integration of the two countries. In 2023, 28 SG programs were implemented, and by 2024, 120 activities are already planned.

Russia noted that in several industries with Belarus, new world standards are being created. At the same time, the main goal of integration remains the same - to improve the living standards of citizens.

According to Gryzlov, the Union State is now experiencing a boom in economic cooperation after the transition from import substitution to a common economy.
