Erdogan: Grain corridor, priosoner swap Türkiye's top priority in Russia-Ukraine war VIDEO
The issue of the "grain corridor" and the exchange of prisoners was Türkiye's top priority during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the remarks in an interview with journalists after Friday prayers on September 23, Yeni Safak reports.
He noted that more than 4 million tonnes of grain have already been transported through the corridor.
"Naturally, one of our important steps now is the grain from Russia. The most important issue is the transportation of fertilisers. As soon as we start this, we will send them to poor countries," the Turkish leader said.
Erdogan added that in the exchange of prisoners, a decision was made regarding 200 people.
"These 200 people are with us. They are our guests, Putin especially insisted on the name of one of them (Viktor Medvedchuk). We have already sent him to Russia," he said.
