EU affirms ongoing support for Azerbaijan's green policy initiatives

Peter Michalko, the Ambassador of the European Union to Azerbaijan, has announced that the EU will continue to back Azerbaijan's initiatives in energy efficiency, green policy, and sustainable water management.

His remarks were made during the B2B forum on “Green technologies and sustainable development” in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Michalko highlighted that the EU has already supported Azerbaijan’s efforts through several bilateral projects and reaffirmed the commitment to ongoing collaboration.

According to the ambassador, in anticipation of the upcoming international conference COP29, set to take place in Baku in November, the EU is launching a new partnership campaign titled “Safe water, clean air, clean land, and green energy for our planet.” This campaign will include a series of seminars, presentations, and other events aimed at promoting sustainable practices in the region.
