Euronews: Azerbaijan’s Gabala Music Festival goes beyond music and art VIDEO

Azerbaijan’s Gabala Music Festival is celebrating its 15th anniversary by expanding beyond its traditional concert programme to bring together music, visual art and performers from around the world, Euronews reports.

The anniversary edition features the newly launched Gabala Fest, creating a broader platform for musicians, artists and performers to connect, collaborate and exchange ideas.

The festival’s programme spans classical music, Mugham and contemporary sounds, while also highlighting Azerbaijan’s cultural traditions and international artistic links.

One of the highlights is The Crossroads of Cultures exhibition, which features works by more than 30 Azerbaijani and international artists.

Organisers say the festival is evolving into a cultural meeting point for artists and audiences from different countries.

They plan to further expand its programme in 2027, strengthening Gabala’s role as a destination for international cultural exchange.
