Ex-president: Mossad agent leads anti-Israel division in Iran
Iranian ex-President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stated that a high-ranking Iranian official, who also headed the anti-Israel division in the Islamic Republic responsible for countering Israeli intelligence operations, was reportedly a mole for the Israeli foreign intelligence agency, Mossad in 2021.
“Israel conducts complex operations within Iran and can easily obtain important information. Iranian units have remained silent on this matter. Mossad had a significant network of agents operating both inside and outside the country. Israeli intelligence has developed the capability to eliminate anyone it wishes,” Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz sent a message to the foreign ministers of 25 countries, informing them that Israel will not agree to a ceasefire in Lebanon. The message was directed to the foreign ministries from nations involved in the Middle East peace initiative, including those from Germany, the UK, Italy, and Canada.
"The only acceptable way for Israel to cease fire is to push Hezbollah north of the Litani River and disarm it," the message stated.
Katz noted that only the full implementation of all UN Security Council resolutions regarding Lebanon would lead to a ceasefire. Until that happens, Israel will continue its actions to ensure the safety of its citizens and their ability to return home safely. Moreover, the foreign minister asserted that the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was one of the most justified countermeasures ever taken by Israel, noting that Nasrallah was planning new attacks.
Moreover, Katz also conveyed a clear message regarding Iran, stating that if Iran attacks Israel, Israel will respond.
